This site is a marketing page and a set of documentation. It asks for one thing — an email address, if you want to hear when the beta opens — and this page is the whole account of what happens to it.
What we collect
When you submit the notify form we store:
- Your email address.
- Where on the page you submitted it and when — so we can tell which part of the site is doing its job.
- Your IP address — never kept as such, only as a one-way fingerprint that stops the form being abused.
That's the list. No name, no company, no tracking profile, and nothing about you is inferred or bought from anywhere else.
What we do with it
We email you when the beta opens. That is the only reason the list exists. It isn't a newsletter, we don't sell or rent it, and we don't hand it to anyone for their own use.
Where it lives
Cloudflare hosts this site, stores the list, and runs the anti-abuse check on the form — their privacy policy covers what they see in doing so. That check is the only third-party code this site loads, and it loads only when you submit the form.
We count page visits in aggregate. No cookies are set for it, and visitors aren't followed between sites.
Getting off the list
Email privacy@sheptracloud.com and we'll delete your address — not suppress it, delete it. You don't have to explain why, and the same address reaches us for anything else on this page, including a copy of what we hold about you. Every email we eventually send will carry an unsubscribe link as well.
We keep addresses until the beta opens and you've heard from us, or until you ask us to remove yours — whichever comes first.
When this changes
Sheptra isn't generally available yet, and this note covers the marketing site only. When there's a product to sign into there will be a fuller policy for it, and a data processing agreement for customers. We'll date this page when it changes; we won't quietly widen what the list is used for.
